Neighbourhood has been the meeting place for both locals and visitors to Cape Town since 2007, and has firmly established itself as a one of the most popular spots in the city bowl. It’s not hard to see why - the venue offers both a long balcony with tables and seating overlooking the famous Long Street, as well as an interior den of warmly furnished interconnected rooms. An eclectic and trendy crowd keeps the place constantly abuzz, be they sipping cocktails on the sprawling balcony, or relaxing in snug armchairs and booths indoors.

The main dining area inside offers a large ten-seater dining table, a number of booths, plus additional tables ideal for a la carte dining. The adjacent bar area has cosy couches, ottomans, and an additional booth area. Neighbourhood is an ideal venue for special occasions, which can be held in a private room known as The Snug. This space is suited to gatherings from ten to one hundred guests, and has direct access to the balcony bar.

Neighbourhood is a gastropub style restaurant, serving up tasty, down to earth fare. It’s a great place to meet for after-work drinks, with a two for one cocktail special running Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. The bar also boasts an extensive selection of local and imported beers, which alone would be worth visiting for. Great food and drinks aside, Neighbourhood is a local favourite as a place to catch sporting events, with major matches being broadcast by projector in the main dining area, as well as on a number of TVs spread throughout the rest of the space.

The venue is open from noon until late, Monday to Saturday.
